Nick Vujicic quotes page 1
Nicholas James Vujicic, also known as Nick Vujicic, was born in Melbourne,
Australia, in 1982. Nick was born with a unique physical disadvantage – he had no arms, no legs, and only one foot
with two toes. This syndrome is known as tetra-amelia syndrome, and it is extremely rare. From a young age, Nick
suffered from physical difficulties, and quickly fell into depression due to his physical disadvantages. Nick
admits that, during his younger years, he imagined suicide as a definite option. Nick eventually overcame his
adversity through strength, courage, and his Christian faith. In his teenage years, he began to really grasp what
it was like to not only survive his condition, but to live his life to the fullest. Nick felt that he had to share
his message with the world, so he began his quest to be a motivational speaker. He founded his organization, Life
Without Limbs, shortly after he began speaking publicly. Nick has spoken to millions of people across the world,
and given hope and inspiration to many. There are a number of books having been written by him, and many of
his speeches are now available on DVD. Nick often employs humor liberally during his speeches, letting audiences
open up to his ideas through the power of laughter. Nick lovingly refers to his small foot with a few toes as his
"chicken drumstick." Nick is now age 31, married to an american woman named Kanae Miyahara, and has fathered a son
You can change your attitude and change your life without taking a pill, seeing a shrink,
trekking to a mountaintop to consult a guru.
I've come to see my lack of limbs as an asset. Men, women, and children who can't speak my
language only have to see me to know that I have overcome many challenges. My lessons,
they know, did not come easily.
My goal is to encourage you to overcome your own challenges and hardships so you can find
your own purpose and pathway to a ridiculously good life.
If you can't get a miracle, become one.
Motivation gets you through the day, but inspiration lasts a lifetime.
Today in my travels around the world, I often see incredible suffering that makes me grateful
for what I have and less inclined to focus on what I may lack.
Whatever you want for yourself, do it for others. If you make even small acts of compassion
a daily habit, you will feel empowered and liberated from your own hurts and disappointments.
You shouldn't expect to benefit from being generous or supportive to others, but good deeds
can lead to surprising rewards.
Don't let your face plant grow roots.
If I fail, I try again, and again, and again... if you fail, are you going to try again?
There are two types of risk in life: the danger of trying and danger of not trying. That is to
say, there is always risk, no matter how you may try to avoid it or protect yourself. Let's say
you are interested in dating someone. It's a gamble just to call and ask the person out. You
might be turned down. But what if you don't try? After all, this wonderful person might say
There are two major types of change that tend to challenge us and disrupt our day-to-day
lives. The first happens to us. The second happens within us. We can't control the first, but
we can and should control the second.
We all have limitations. I'll never be an NBA star, but that's ok because I can inspire people to
be the stars of their own lives.
No arms, no legs, no limits.
No matter how dire your circumstances may appear, you can rise above them. To wish for
change will change nothing. To make the decision to take action right now will change
My life is an adventure still being written - and so is yours. Start writing the first chapter now!

The if I just had X, I would be happy syndrome is a mass delusion. When you look for
happiness in mere objects, they are never enough. Look around. Look within.
There's no point in being complete on the outside when you're broken in the inside.
Even as adults, we create fearful fantasies that simply don't match up to reality. This explains
why fear is often described as "False Evidence Appearing Real." We become so focused on our
fears that they become real to us - and as a result, we let them control us.
If the world thinks you're not good enough, it's a lie, you know. Get a second opinion!
I found happiness when I realized that as imperfect as I may be, I am the perfect Nick
Vujicic. I am God's creation, designed according to His plan for me. That's not to say there
isn't room for improvement. I'm always trying to be better so I can better serve Him and the
I'm here to tell you that no matter what your circumstances may be, as long as you are
breathing, you have a contribution to make.
When a lot of BS comes your way, just BS - Be Still... at least for a little while. Be Strong, Be
Sober-minded and Be Satisfied with what you have.
I love my life, because I've seen my purpose.
I don't care if you are a good mathematician, or a good athletic, or not good at anything -
that you think. But I'm gonna come and tell you that you're awesome the way you are.
There's a wonderful truth that's so central to living. I find it extraordinary that schools do not
teach it. The essential truth is this: Each of us has some gift - a talent, a skill, a craft, a
knack - that gives us pleasure and engages us, and the path to our happiness lies within that
Attitude is altitude.
Fear is a bigger disability than having no arms and no legs.
